Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)

The Purpose of the CSBG Program is to provide assistance to low and very low-income families and individuals in Fremont, Custer Chaffee and lake Counties. A once-in-a-lifetime funding opportunity available to families and individuals who meet income requirements and other qualifications who are facing an Emergency situation. The program has limited funds and is not an entitlement program.

Emergency assistance is provided to prevent the client from further stressing their already limited budgets enabling the client to continue meeting monthly obligations and working towards self-sufficiency.

CSBG funds can provide assistance with utility bills and shut off notices, medications, eviction prevention, mortgage payments, food, auto repairs (if employed), tools, & clothing for employment, home appliance repair/replacement, dental, vision and other services.
