Our Mission:
The mission of the UAACOG Housing
Department is to assist families or individuals to obtain and maintain decent,
safe, affordable housing and services suitable to their unique housing needs.
In carrying out this mission, our Housing Department will provide leadership,
maximize resources, and promote partnerships to develop and implement sound
housing policy.

Homebuyer Counseling
The Homebuyer Counseling Program offers two different first-time homebuyer's
workshops along with homebuyer, budget, and credit/debt counseling. In
addition, the program can also work one-on-one with individuals to help them
understand the home buying process as well as help them address any barriers to
homeownership that they face.

Housing
Rehabilitation
The Housing Rehabilitation program provides loans to low to moderate income
families at low interest rates for the purpose of repairs or replacement of
owner occupied existing homes.

Mutual Self-Help
Housing
The Mutual Self Help Housing program provides oversight and construction
supervision to families constructing their own homes with loans form Rural
Development. Groups of families provide 65% of the labor to construct the homes
of the entire group.

Section 8 Housing
The Section 8 Housing program provides qualified families the opportunity
to live in safe, decent and sanitary rental housing through rent subsidy.
